DESCRIPTION GRANDSTAND SEATING

The Grandstand Seating structure comprises a system of frames welded with interlocking system, post ledger, braces & deck units that lock together to form a quick erect, structural support system.
Seat units and balustrade units are fixed to the terraced decks to provide a safe secure interlocking seating area with a rise of 200mm. (80mm-320mm).

TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS

Grid: Width: 2000 mm x 3280 mm.
Gradients and heights settings (Riser): 80 mm, 160 mm, 200 mm.
Step depth: 820 mm.
Seat spacing: 500 mm for bucket seats - 571 mm for Tip-Up seats.
Seat rest: 410 mm for bucket seats - 450 mm for Tip-Up seats.
Spacing between 2 rows: 420 mm for Bucket seats - 570 mm for Tip-Up seats.
Load capacity: 5kN/square meter.
Dead load: 0.25kN/square meter.

Truss
Each Truss T4 support 4 rows of seat spacing between rows is 820 mm. Truss 3280 mm wide incorporating two upright vertical hot dipped galvanized high tensile strength steel members in SHS 40 mm x 60 mm x 3.0 mm thick hot dipped galvanized high tensile strength steel tube.
The structure is fully welded to produce a rigid framework.

Deck Units
Deck units (platform) are made of 21 mm thick anti-slip version phenolic film faced plywood. The plywood is supported and bolted on 3 units SHS 38 mm x 38 mm x 3 mm thick. When installed in the grandstand, deck units are captive with the frame cleats and provided self-interlocking system.

Base Jacks
Base Jacks are constructed from 30 mm diameter thick hot dipped galvanized steel bar with a conventional Stub Acme thread form with a fine adjustment range of 175 mm square x 6 mm.

Seat Units
Steel framed seat units with a rugged spring operated tip up mechanism are fixed to the frame units with integral hooks and locked onto the frame with a hidden locking bolt. The seat units when not in use are designed so that they nest intimately together to provide extremely compact storage.
Seats made of U.V. stabilized Polypropylene with bright and smooth appearance.

Balustrades and safety Rails
Side balustrades are connected to the deck units and the frame and are positioned to provide a barrier height of 1100mm above the deck level. Front and rear balustrades area connected to high-strength posts that are connected directly to the frame and incorporate multitude location holes such that the height of the balustrade may be chosen to suit the optimum safety height without compromising essential sight lines.

Aisle and Gangways are generously proportioned to provide for clear unobstructed access 2.00m width.
